Synopsis
Your favorite fairytale princesses welcome a new recruit at Rapunzel's hair salon.

Characters
RAPUNZEL: female, 20s-30s, owner of the beauty salon, also the famed princess with the long hair.

ELLA: female, 20s-30s, AKA Cinderella. Sometimes a little too prim and proper.

AURORA: female, 20s-30s, AKA Sleeping Beauty.  Sweet and bubbly. Maybe a bit of an airhead.

BELLE: female, 20s-30s, the "beauty" of Beauty and the Beast. Down to earth. Sometimes has the mouth of a truck driver.

GALDRIEL: female, 20s-30s, the new princess in town. Today is her wedding day.

LADY IN WAITING: female, 20s-?. That's it. Just a Lady in Waiting. Nothing more. Or is she?

SHELDON: male, any age. Nerdy guy in the audience. He just wanted to see Steel Magnolias.

Inside Rapunzel's Fan-C-Cuts. Ella is sitting, soaking her feet. Aurora is reading a magazine. Belle is having her hair styled by Rapunzel.

BELLE
If you thought he was a beast before, you should have seen him on our wedding night!

RAPUNZEL
Le rawrr!!

Aurora giggles hysterically.

ELLA
Ugh! I hate that joke, Belle. It's so low-brow.

BELLE
Shut up, Ella. The first time I told it, you laughed so hard champagne shot out your nose.

ELLA
That was shock, not laughter.

RAPUNZEL
Sure it was. Seems to me there was a time our Princess Ella spent more time on her knees than on her high horse.

Princess Galdriel and her Lady in Waiting enter during this line. Ella is highly embarrassed.

ELLA
Scrubbing floors, she means. Geez, Rapunzel!

RAPUNZEL
You must be my eleven o'clock! Galdriel?

GALDRIEL
Yes. Today's my wedding day!

All the ladies coo with excitement.

RAPUNZEL
Congratulations, sweetheart!

AURORA
Welcome to the club, girl!

RAPUNZEL
Don't just stand there in the doorway! Come on in!

GALDRIEL
Thank you. You look a little busy.

RAPUNZEL
Nah, these old hags? They've got nothing better to do than hang around here bothering me.

BELLE
Hags? Speak for yourself, you human rope ladder.

Aurora giggles hysterically. Ella rolls her eyes.

ELLA
Harpies.

RAPUNZEL
Come on in. Have a seat.

She shoos Belle from her chair.

BELLE
Hey!

Lady in Waiting hovers in the background. Rapunzel begins working on Galdriel's hair.

RAPUNZEL
So, what's your story, honey?

GALDRIEL
Story?

RAPUNZEL
How did you and your prince meet?

GALDRIEL
Oh, well I was cursed by a witch--

BELLE
Cursed? Aurora here knows about curses!

AURORA
Mmmhmm. Hundred years sleep. How do you like that?

GALDRIEL
Wow.

BELLE
She knew it was true love when he didn't leave after kissin' that hundred years of morning breath!

Aurora laughs.
